This year's netball achievements were outstanding. It was a tough season, but Middelburg High School’s netball girls were on fire in the league as well as the provincial championships.
The organizer, mrs. Hannelize Adendorff says, "Watch us. We'll have even better results next year. Just watch."
Middies took part in the Mpumalanga championship and here are the results:
• The U/15A and U/16A teams achieved fourth place in the finals.
• The U/14A, U/17A and U/15B teams came a whopping 3rd place.
• The U/14A and U/17A teams also participated in the SA Schools tournament. The U/17A’s came 20th and the U/14A’s came 12th in South Africa.
“My message to the netball girls of MHS is simple and I hope that they can carry this with them and throughout the season.
What is your 'why'?
Before you go into the preseason training and conditioning, before you put on your netball shoes and before you even think of the netball season, ask yourself what is your ‘WHY’? The answer to this question is what will keep you going through the tough times. This is what will inspire you to keep going in the great times.
Your ‘WHY’ is the most important thing to have before you go out and tackle something.
During my time at Middies, I found my ‘WHY’ and that was to give back to the people that invested in me, the coaches, my family and friends and the only way I could do that was to become the best that I could in netball.
To all the netball girls, I urge you to find your ‘WHY’ as Middies and also individually in order to start a successful season on the right note and with a sound mind.
I wish you all the best going forward. Middies bo!”
